20.02.19 | Introduction to TV Paint (5 Wednesday Evenings)

Course Content: 

An in-depth introduction to TV Paint. This course will cover everything you need to get animating in TV Paint, whether you’re seeking studio work, or want to create you’re own independent animations! It will cover all of the basic tools and approaches to drawing, animating, cleanup, workflow, as well as how you can personalize the software to suit your pipeline or creative needs. By the end of the course you’ll have everything you need to animate in TV Paint.

Participant profile: 

This course is aimed at varying levels of animation experience, whether you’re a recent graduate, a freelancer, or working in a studio. This course will primarily focus on how the software can be used to suit your needs. A basic knowledge of animation principals is required. Some tips and tricks on animation principals will also be covered.

Tutor info: 

Sean Cunningham (AKA Paperbag Animator), is a freelance film maker and animator. After graduating in 2016, he broke into the animation scene with his award winning shorts ‘Bugg & Mr. Hill’ & ‘Define Intervention’. His work has been nominated for awards at the IFTA’s, Animation Dingle, the RTS Awards, the Irish Animation Awards, ECU, Dublin Animation Film Festival, Galway Film Fleadh and more. With awards including Best Film, Best Director & Best Art Direction at The Irish Animation Awards, ‘Best Student Film’ at RTS, as well as an Audience Choice and an honorable mention at DAFF. Sean is also known for his independent projects on YouTube such as his music videos for ‘Vernon Jane’, ‘Neomadic’ & ’Wirewalker’, and his shorts created for ‘Game Grumps’ & ‘Channel 4 MASHED’, each with several million views.
