22.09.14 | Introduction to Cel Action (10 Monday Evenings)

CelAction is growing in popularity in the industry, particularly in the area of children’s animation. This course will cover the basics of animation with this software and give you the tools you need to get animating successfully in CelAction.

This Course Will Cover:

Navigating the software; user interface and shortcuts.
Character design and rigging for CelAction.
Importing and rigging backgrounds.
Prepping scenes for animation.
Keyframing and tweening animation.
Dealing with display orders.
Using effects.
Rendering.

Participant Profile:

Those intending to take the course should have basic computer skills, and a working knowledge of both 2D animation and Photoshop.

Tutor Info:

Graham Tormey and Jenny O’ Brien are lead animators with Geronimo Productions in Dublin, and are currently working on Nelly and Nora for RTEjr and CBeebies. Graham was recently an animator on series 2 of Punky for RTEjr and has worked for FlickerPix and Aardman Animation. Jenny has worked for Boulder Media on Randy Cunningham, 9th Grade Ninja and also Fluffy Gardens and Punky Season 1 with Geronimo.

Mondays 6.30pm-9.30pm, Dates: 22nd September, 29th September, 6th October, 13th October, 20th October, 3rd November, 10th November, 17th November, 2th November and 1st December.

Cost:

Non Members: 150 Euro, Members: 120 Euro.
