23.02.15 | Gesture Drawing for Animation (5 Monday Evenings)

Course Details:

On completion of this course participants will be able to understand the importance of gesture in drawing and how to capture in a simplified way the essence of the pose.

This course will look at the use of graphic principles – line of action, shapes, silhouette, angles and visual balance to create dynamic drawings.

Participant Profile:

This course is aimed at individuals interested in studying animation and professionals working in the industry. Participants should have some life drawing experience.

Niall Laverty has been teaching gesture drawing to animation students and professionals for over 10 years. His classes are based on 17 years experience in the animation industry. Niall is a regular tutor at Gobelins, Filmakademie and The Animation Workshop. http://nialllaverty.blogspot.com/
