09.09.2019 | Introduction to ZBrush 2019 – Level I (5 Monday evenings)

Course content: ZBrush is an industry standard application commonly used in animation, VR, Film/TV, and for sculptural practices. This course is designed as a week by week introduction to ZBrush to help you realise and explore your concepts efficiently in 3D. The course is structured over a five week period, one evening per week. This is to ensure you have time to develop and practice your knowledge and skills between sessions. At the end of the course, you will understand the interface and basic workflows required to continue using the software to create your own 3D models.

About the tutor: Seán Forsyth has worked as a 3D Modeller, Texture Artist, Fur Groomer, Technical Director, CG Supervisor and Art Director in the animation industry for over 14 years, working on multi Emmy award winning television cartoons in that time as well as Ireland’s first 3D animated feature film. He has also worked on Augmented and Virtual Reality surgical simulators, has sculpted and 3D printed props for Game of Thrones and has been using ZBrush since 2004.

Participant profile: This course is aimed at absolute beginners with no prior knowledge or experience of either 3D or ZBrush. Good computer literacy is essential however, and ideally some graphics tablet or cintiq experience.
