This Course Will Cover:

• The concept art thought process.
• Defining and executing ideas for games, movies and television.
• Traditional and digital techniques and processes.
• Multi-genre character design.
• Environment and object design.
• Personal project development.

Participant Profile:

This course is aimed at individuals who wish to pursue a career in Concept Art for the TV, Film, Animation and/or Games industries. It will ideally be aimed at intermediate level entrants, but will also benefit those with strong illustrative skills currently not working in the commercial art field or those who are looking for a change within the industry.

Tutor Info:

Gary Reynolds has worked as a concept artist and digital illustrator predominantly in the games industry for over 16 years. In that time he has worked for studios in Ireland and abroad including Sega, Sony, THQ, Atari, Disney, Infogrames and Dreamworks. This has included work on games such as Broken Sword, Driver 76, Outrun, Sega Superstar Tennis and Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing to name but a few for devices such as the XBox, Playstation, WII, Arcade, PC and Gameboy. Gary is currently working as Art Director in the Dublin offices of HMH contributing to game apps such as Curious George and Carmen Sandiego on iPad, Android and Windows.
