Course Content:
This course will cover the following:
- Staging and composition at the layout stage.
- Reinforcing basic perspective.
- Photoshop techniques for creating backgrounds.
- Working from board to background on an animated production.
- Building a background portfolio and applying to studios.
Participant Profile:
Interested participants should have a good basic knowledge of Photoshop.
Tutor Info:
Fran Johnston has worked in the animation industry as a background artist and compositor for the last 11 years. For the last 5 years he has been lead background supervisor at Boulder Media. During his career he has worked on shows such as Fosters Home For Imaginary Friends and The Amazing World of Gumball for Cartoon Network, Randy Cunningham Ninth Grade Ninja and Wander Over Yonder for Disney and El Tigre for Nickelodeon.
