As part of the Toon Boom Software Family, Storyboard Pro combines drawing and animation tools with camera controls; it helps the user developing the story with total artistic control. It has huge benefits to your workflow as it is a tool custom made for animatics. This course has been specially designed by Kevin O’Brien, a fully certified Toon Boom trainer and Head of Editing at Boulder Media.

Participant profile: 

This course would be ideal for people of any skill level planning to work in Animatic editing. Especially those wishing to work for Irish studios which use Harmony, the parent package of Storyboard Pro. This course is aimed at making complete beginners confident to take on projects using Storyboard pro.

Tutor info: 

Kevin O’Brien is an Animatic/offline Editor with 10 years experience in the TV / Film / Animation industry. His career in Animation began on the Irish Animation Series Inis Spraoi, of which he was one of the creators. For the past four years he has been working in Boulder Media heading up and training a large editing team. In this time he has had the pleasure to work on many popular animated series including Danger Mouse, Transformer Cyberverse, The Littlest Pet Shop, My Little Pony and Rescue bots Academy. As Head of Editing in Boulder, he helped create a highly efficient editing workflow based on the use of Storyboard Pro, a software that is becoming increasingly more popular with animation studios. On this course he will share the knowledge and experience of those years.

5 Monday evenings from 6.30pm-9.30pm; November 11th, November 18th, November 25th, December 2nd and December 9th.
