Course Content:
This course will cover the following:
- The Role of the Director
- Brieifing and giving notes to artists
- Recieving and implenting notes from clients/broadcasters
- A practical guide (with examples) to working with scripts, storybaords, animatics, layout, animation, comp, music & FX and post production
- Voice Direction (working with actors)
- Meeting Deadlines
Participant Profile:
This course is aimed at anyone within the creative industries wanting to step up to or know more about the role, responsibilities and challenges of being a director. The course is suitable for all levels of directing ambition – from making your first short film to helming a 52 episode animated series.
Tutor Info:
Aidan McAteer has worked in the animation industry for the last fourteen years in Dublin, London, Vancouver and Singapore. He has directed several award-winning short films including the RTE/IFB Frameworks “Deadly” and served as series director on the 2D series “Wildernuts” for RTE and the CG series “Oddbods” for Disney.
