This Course Will Cover:
INTRODUCTION TO HARMONY
Demonstration, Introduction to the Interface, Layout, Toolbars, Keyboard Shortcuts, Preferences, Libraries.
DRAWING WITH HARMONY
Drawing Tools, Choice of Pencils & Brushes, Type of Line, Painting Tools, Creation and Management of Colour Palettes.
TRADITIONAL ANIMATION WITH HARMONY
Exposure Sheet, Timeline Editing, Onion Skin, Keyframing, Inbetweening, Clean.
CUT-OUT ANIMATION WITH HARMONY
Cut-Out Character Design & Rigging, Set-up, Hierarchy, Pivot Points, Transformation Tools, Using “Pegs”, Animation using the Deformation Tool.
ANIMATION RE-USE WITH HARMONY
Using the Library, Creating Animation Cycles, Using Master Template & Action Template, Advanced Animation Technique.
BASIC COMPOSITING
Basic Compositing & Special Effects, Rendering.
Participant Profile:
Participants should have a working knowledge of computers (opening, saving files etc) and an understanding of traditional animation principles. IMPORTANT: Participants will need to bring their own Wacom tablet (and related drivers for installation).
Tutor Info:
Véronique Paquette – Since obtaining her diploma in Animation at the CEGEP du vieux Montreal in 2006, Véronique Paquette has worked on numerous projects as illustrator, character builder, animator or director. She works her magic on multiple software and with different techniques (Traditional, Digital paperless, Cut-out) for a variety of formats (Short Film, TV Series, Advertising, Feature Film). A true expert of the human movement, she is also an accomplished dancer/dance teacher. Véronique’s production experience and mastery of Toon Boom Harmony along with her enthusiastic communication skills will get you going in no time. Monday 14th, Tuesday 15th, Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th April. 9am-5pm each day with an hour lunch break.

Non Members: 400 Euro, Members: 350 Euro.
