19.02.19 | Essence of the Pose – Gesture Drawing (5 Tuesday Evenings)

Course Content: 

This course will show the importance of gesture drawing and look at capturing the essence of the pose for Character Design, Storyboarding and Animation. Each class will look at different graphic principles including lines of action, shapes and basic anatomy to create expressive drawings.

This course is aimed at those interested in pursuing a career in animation, students and animation professionals.

Tutor info: 

Niall Laverty has been teaching gesture drawing to animation students and professionals for over 15 years. His teaching is based on his experience as an animation professional in feature and television productions and his passion for gesture drawing. He teaches at IADT, Gobelins and The Animation Workshop and has taught at the award-winning animation studios, Boulder Media, Brown Bag Films and Kavaleer Productions. 5 Tuesday evenings from 6.30pm-9.30pm; February 19th, February 26th, March 5th, March 12th and March 19th.
