21.09.2020 | ZBrush Level III (Remote Course)

Course content

This course is designed as a week-by-week follow on to the “ZBrush Level II” course to help you realise and explore your concepts efficiently in 3D. The course is structured over a five week period, with two x 1.5 hour sessions per week.

The first session will be a technique demonstration and the second will be a review session where students can show their work and get feedback and advice on their progress. This is to ensure you have time to develop and practice your knowledge and skills between sessions.

At the end of the course, you will understand ZBrush features as yet unexplored in the first “ZBrush Level II” course as well as general approaches and workflows to take when creating artwork.

We will also cover cloth and clothing creation and many of the new features available in ZBrush 2021. ZBrush is an industry standard application commonly used in animation, VR, Film/TV, and for sculptural practices.

About the tutor

Seán Forsyth has worked as a 3D Modeller, Texture Artist, Fur Groomer, Technical Director, CG Supervisor and Art Director in the animation industry for over 14 years, working on multi Emmy award winning television cartoons in that time as well as Ireland’s first 3D animated feature film. He has also worked on Augmented and Virtual Reality surgical simulators, has sculpted and 3D printed props for Game of Thrones and other major tv series currently in production and has been using ZBrush since 2004.

Participant profile

This course is aimed at more intermediate level users already comfortable with the interface and basics of ZBrush who wish to expand their knowledge, or for those who have attended the Introduction to ZBrush Level II course and wish to get to the next level.
