Course Content
The aim of this course is to explore what makes a strong character pose and to give animators/illustrators the necessary tools to quickly pick up on what is or is not working in that last key pose or character sketch. Estrela will explain the importance of feeling the pose forces and to know what is the story that moves a character to a specific gesture. Tools such as line of action, silhouette, balance, weight and even basic physics will be covered through examples and class sketching. This course emphasises gesture drawing and storytelling over anatomy and body construction.
