Participant Profile:
This course is aimed at the avid novice that wants to expand their knowledge in the process of 3D game development. This course will educate participants through the hands-on development of a simple 3D character that the participant will design, model, rig and animate and will then be integrated into Unity. A simple game will then be built where the participant can control this character. We will be using Autodesk Maya and Unity 3D.
Fundamental knowledge of any 3D software package and a basic understanding of the workflow of 3D production is essential for the participant. Participants are also required to have a gmail account, as course content will be shared via Google Drive, and a laptop/computer with a student or trial version of Maya and Unity 3D to work on tasks at home.
