This Course Will Cover:
- Creating a base mesh
- UV Unwrapping for Texturing
- Texture extraction and baking
- 3DSMax -> Mudbox workflow and best practices
- Sculpting and painting in Mudbox
- Working non-destructively with layers
- Additional painting in Photoshop
- Lighting and rendering in 3DSMax
- Finishing in Photoshop
Participant Profile:
Participants should have a basic knowledge of 3DSMax (a knowledge of Photoshop would be useful too).
Tutor Info:
Pete Mc Nally is a Technical Artist/3D Generalist with Havok, an Emmy award-winning games technology company in Dublin and also lectures part-time. He has also been a 3D Supervisor in the Commercials department of twice Oscar nominated Brown Bag Films and Lead Artist at Torc Interactive/Instinct Technology. Pete has over ten years experience in the Irish games/TV industry and has been involved with game art since the beginning of his career, more of his work can be seen at: http://petemcnally.wordpress.com/
