03.11.18 | Animation Returners Course: Digital Skills (2 Saturdays & Sundays)

Course Content:

This course is aimed at those who wish to return to work in the animation industry. This course sets out to be an introduction to the modern digital work space, focusing on programmes from the Adobe suite in relation to animation. The course aims to provide a basic platform of knowledge of a digital pipeline on which to begin a path of re-entry to the industry.

Weekend 1:

Day 1: Introduction Photoshop skills

Day 2: Introduction to Animate: Asset creation

Weekend 2:

Day 1: Introduction to Animate: Animation

Day 2: Introduction to After Effects

The course will be project-based so attendance is required for all 4 days.  

Participant Profile:

The course is aimed at those who have previously worked or trained in the animation industry and who seek an introduction to the digital pipeline.

Tutor Info:

John Peavoy is a lecturer of animation and illustration with the Athlone Institute of Technology. He has previously worked as an animator with Cartoon Saloon on projects such as The Breadwinner and Puffin Rock. He has also worked as an animator, editor, and animation designer in the industry for clients such as RTÉ, BBC, Nick JR. and other producers from America and across Europe.

Dates and Times: Two weekends in November, Saturday 3rd-Sunday 4th &  Saturday 10th-Sunday 11th; 10am – 4pm

Cost:

There is no fee for this course, however places are limited.
