Animation Skillnet are delighted to welcome back Kirsten Shiel for this in-depth 10 week course, which was created to help Animation, Games and VFX artists to get their portfolio polished and ready to submit to studios or clients.
Kirsten Shiel is currently an art director at Brown Bag Films and has hired and led full design teams both in Dublin and Manchester for 2D and 3D projects. She will share some tips and tricks and guide you through the following topics:
- Character Design
- Environment Design
- Visual Development and Concept Art
- Colour and Lighting
- Social Media and Online Presence
- Interviews and Studio Tests
- Organisation and Presentation of your Portfolio
About the tutor
Kirsten Shiel has been working in the animation industry on both 2D and 3D projects for Disney, Apple, Nickelodeon, NBC Universal and Netflix as a background artist, a character designer, a concept artist, and now an art director at Brown Bag Films Dublin.
She is also an award winning illustrator who has worked for clients like the BBC, Microsoft, Aer Lingus and John West Tuna.

Cost
If selected, the course fee is €100 for members and €125 for non-members.
