Mentoring Sessions with Rob Hudnut (former Executive Producer and Vice President of Mattel’s Entertainment Division)

Rob Hudnut (former Executive Producer and Vice President of Mattel’s Entertainment Division) will be available for mentoring sessions with Irish kids content producers on Tuesday 29th May and Wednesday 30th May next in Dublin (Guinness Enterprise Centre – http://gec.ie/get-in-touch/).
There are 8 slots available that will each last approx. 120 minutes.

The Mentoring Sessions:
Ever wish you knew what a toy company was going to say about your property before you pitched it to them? Now you have that opportunity. Rob Hudnut, former Executive Producer for Mattel and creator of the Barbie DVD franchise and content for Hot Wheels, Rescue Heroes, Masters of the Universe and other brands, will be in Dublin May 29th and 30th to give advice and feedback on your property, regardless of what stage it’s in. For up to two hours he’ll discuss the emotional needs that drive play, play patterns, unique points of difference and what you should do to get your property ready for a pitch to a toy company or other consumer products organization. As the Executive Producer of Emmy, Leo, Gemini and other award-winning productions, he can give valuable creative feedback on any show at any stage of development.

Rob Hudnut Biography:
Rob is founder and owner of Rob Hudnut Productions which specializes in creating franchises for kids. The company develops its own content and also advises global studios, toy inventors and toy companies on creating franchises that inspire play. The company also creates faith-based content. Prior to starting Rob Hudnut Productions in October 2017, Rob served for nineteen years as Executive Producer and Vice President of Mattel’s entertainment division. During that time, Rob created entertainment for Barbie, Hot Wheels, Fisher-Price, American Girl, Polly Pocket, Max Steel, Masters of the Universe and many other Mattel brands. His award-winning productions have driven billions in toy and entertainment revenue. Rob co-wrote “Barbie in The Nutcracker”, the first Barbie movie. He then executive produced an additional 27 titles that have sold well over 100 million copies worldwide. Rob is also an Emmy-nominated songwriter who co-wrote over 50 songs for the Barbie movies, as well as songs for Hot Wheels and Fisher-Price. He has also been the executive producer for Barbie stage shows and live experiences. Rob won the Mattel Chairman’s Award for extraordinary contributions to the company. Rob is a Princeton University graduate. Prior to Mattel, he developed and co-executive produced the television series “Mighty Max” and “Captain Simian”.

Participant Profile:
These Mentoring Sessions are open to any company/freelancer/producer at any stage of development on a TV show for kids.

Cost:
Animation Skillnet are offering a highly subsidised rate of 150 Euro per mentoring session.
