Course Overview:
This course will run over two weeks with the first week run in conjunction with Toon Boom Animation Inc and the second week run in conjunction with Mercury Filmworks.
We will have two options for participants – a daytime option (Monday-Friday) and an evening+weekend option (see below for details).
At the end of the first week, each participant will be eligible to pass the Associate exam for Toon Boom Harmony. This exam indicates a proficiency level with the software, and is not a demonstration of animation knowledge.
Week 1 – with Toon Boom Inc
Day 1: Harmony: Introduction to the Interface, Drawing Tools, and Painting
Day 2: Timing, Morphing, Sceneplanning, and Working in a 3D Space
Day 3: Introduction to Cut-Out
Day 4: Animating your Cut-Out Puppet and Lip-Sync
Day 5: Advanced Cut-Out Techniques and Deform
Week 2 – with Mercury Filmworks
Participant Profile:
Participants should have drawing experience, animation experience and experience with Photoshop or other computer applications.
Date & Times:
Daytime Option
Week 1: Monday 11th August – Friday 15th August (9am-5pm each day with an hour lunch break).
Week 2: Monday 18th August – Friday 22nd August (9am-5pm each day with an hour lunch break).
Evening+Weekend Option
Week 1: Monday 11th August – Friday 15th August (5pm-10pm each evening) and Saturday 16th August (9am-5pm with an hour lunch break).
Week 2: Monday 18th August – Friday 22nd August (5pm-10pm each evening) and Saturday 23rd August (9am-5pm with an hour lunch break).
Temp Licenses:
All those who register for the course will be given temporary licenses for use for a defined period of time before, during and after the course.

Cost:
300 Euro.
